Grooming Information

Clipping a hard coat will make the colors look faded and the coat will become soft and fluffy, even curly. Once you decide to clip a wire coat, it is difficult to bring back a hard coat. Stripping is healthier for the skin, but can be the best option for an older dog who is stressed when being groomed.

Pet Clip- Clip body and head of dog,  scissor  brows, beard and furnishings, trim nails.

Pet Strip- Strip head, ears, color on body(and back of neck, down to tail if time allows). Clip rest of  body, scissor furnishings, trim nails.

Bath-   shampoo, blow dry, plus coat conditioner.

GROOMING BASICS

1. Don't bath your dog for at least 4 days before appointment
2. Never bring a damp dog for grooming
3. Comb out furnishings the night before the appointment
4. Trim nails every 2-4 weeks
5. Bathe 1-2x per month
